Episode #163 – David Cassidy EXCLUSIVE!

In the wake of the passing of pop icon David Cassidy, Tony and Gary talk to David’s longtime producer, arranger, keyboardist, and friend, Craig Snider, about what it was like to work with and tour with David. He also provides insight into what David’s final days were like.

PLUS: Craig shares an EXCLUSIVE, NEVER-BEFORE-HEARD piece of music from David Cassidy’s final recording sessions and it is unlike ANYTHING you’ve heard David do before! It’s great, and you will ONLY hear it here!

ALSO: Highlights from Tony and Gary’s emotional and revealing conversation with David, from 2014. It is truly touching.

And finally: Gary’s hotel room debacle, and a quick chat with jazz singer (and wife of Gary) Sarah Partridge, about what could be a very exciting week for her!

This episode is dedicated, with love, to David Cassidy and his family.

  2. Such a beautiful and Frank conversation, and how much as fans we never knew you think that if you are famous you have this fantastic life how wrong to assume this. I wish we as fans knew a little I feel as a fan I didn’t support him later on in his life as I did in the 70s. Such a beautiful soul…

  3. I was one of those 12 year old fans of David during The Partridge Family, etc. I went to a concert in Greensboro NC and was so damn mad when all the girls up front were screaming so loud tht I coud not hear his wonderful voice. I was the typical fan in that I was totally in love with him but I think that I was also atypical in that I am now 55 and have followed and appreciated him as he changed and grew. I wish that I had had the time and money to have seen him in Blood Brothers and in Vegas. The BB King song sounds awesome. I love it and agree it is extraordinary.

  4. What an Awesome interview with Craig, and omg David’s velvet voice sounds awesome in the blues, man what a waste we didn’t hear more of this from him. True musician RIP. But we want to hear this on a final CD or two or three.

  5. Wow! This was amazing! Thank you so much for sharing this. It really puts so much into perspective that many of us teenagers at the time and as years have gone by, never realized. Will cherish David always and forever. โค

  6. Had the opportunity to meet Craig a few times at David Cassidy concerts and always found him to be a genuinely kind soul. Fantastic musician as well. Appreciate this interview at a difficult time for all of us.

  7. What a Wonderful interview and thankyou so much for this .Hearing David’s voice was so beautiful and the new songs that he was working on sound so great.
The world has lost a Beautiful man with such a lovely soul that wanted to be remembered for spreading love and bringing light into people’s lives and he done that right to the end.
David will live on forever in our hearts .x

  8. Great show. Really appreciated listening to Craig and if you really want to hear the more bluesy jazzy side of David Cassidy check out junked heart blues. As for his many styles as a gifted musician check out ” for what it’s worth “on Cassidy live and Crazy over you, on self titled cd. And yes, that’s him playing on all. Very underrated musician in my opinion . Sadly he will be missed. Great insight into some parts of his life. Thanks again for the interview. My condolences to Craig and the family.

  9. Oh, my goodness. Thank you for sharing this with the world. I took David’s death pretty hard, as I’m sure did all of his fans. Because a lot of us grew up watching him & listening to him, we almost feel like we’ve lost a member of the family. My heart & prayers go out to his family & friends. I know he had his demons, but I didn’t realize how much pain he really was in. I take comfort in knowing that he’s free from the pain & is ok now. I thank him for all the beautiful gifts he left us. God bless you, David; we love you.
